We all have a family where we originated from and we all have a life. Many people would think that our socio-economic status has something to do with our family background, no it doesn’t. We have 24 hours in a day, right? It’s called TIME. Now, if you agree with me that life and family have nothing to do with our socio-economic status, but how we live our lives and spend our time affect our socio-economic status; which makes some of us average, some good, bad, and some the best.
It’s not the family that we are born into that makes us great. It has to do with how we live our lives. Yes, many may argue that the people from a rich or wealthy family do better than people who come from a poor family and have nobody to help them live their dreams. You may be right to an extent, but do you know that we still have many unsuccessful and ‘never do well’ people who are from rich homes? So, it all depends on how we manage our lives, time and resources and not the family.
Maturity has a lot to do with our becoming successful or a failure in life. Maturity is not about age. You can be 18 years and still not be mature or act mature, you can be 40 years old and still not act maturely. Immaturity sometimes affects our lives and success. Whatever we do in life, we have to be able to objectively make good choices and decisions. We need to be in control of our lives and minds and not allow events outside or our body to control us.
Many people allow their environment to control their lives and its not good. For instance, you don’t let a bad day or a bad moment disorganise, dictate, ruin or take control of the rest of your day, your activities or life. Life has got to move on. The day has got to move on and the activities of the day must have to move forward positively, because you don’t know how many more days or time you have left to live. You are not God and you don’t have the powers to add or subtract the number of years you’ve to exist on earth. You don’t want to waste more time on complaints and frivolities, or do you? You have to learn how to be in control of your life, your emotions, your time, resources, and you really need to know how to react to things to avoid messing up your daily plans and activities.
Everyone wants to be successful and move forward to the next level, but every new level is a great challenge, you need to be well prepared to persevere and be determined to succeed. I have come across some people who said to me that they are not ‘a morning person’. They don’t get up to start their day early in the mornings, they rather get out in the middle of the day or night; we shouldn’t allow our body to control us if we truly want to be successful in life. You don’t allow your body to control you, but you have to control your body. You have to train your body to adapt to your hustle, time and environment. You’ve got to be a morning, afternoon, evening and night person.
You have to be an all weather fan of nature to succeed in life. Like I always tell my children that “Success has no season; and you have to be an all season person to be very successful in life.” We should learn to push through difficult times and situations in the journey of life. Successful people don’t allow a bad day or a bad weather to stop them, they fix it and get moving forward. Great people do not focus so much on the negatives that they forget about the Positives. Great people are all season, all weather and all times achievers. They can work anywhere, anytime and always ready to go get things done correctly without being sluggish.
Your success may be trapped in your own weaknesses. Work on your weaknesses, untrap and free yourself. We were all created to be uniquely great and successful in life. When you were created, you were created with a gift. So, find that unique and natural gift. Yes, find it, develop it and turn it into treasure. Use your gift correctly and charge people for your time.
