If there is one thing that virtually everyone in this world always makes the mistake of thinking we have in abundance, it is time. Sadly, though, this is the one so-called ‘gift’ of nature that none of us has because it waits for nobody!
Do you know that when your time comes to depart this earth, nothing you have amassed will be able to save you or extend your time here, no matter how hard you try? Not even your money, power, friends abd your political affluence and connections.
Terek Young said this concerning time a while ago: “You can always make more money, but when God Almighty says your time’s up, no amount of money or powers can buy you more time. Ask the IBBs, Abachas, Rockefellers, Mellons, or John Paul Getty. For all the billions they had, they could not buy just one more second of God’s precious time. Time is a gift; use it wisely, because when it’s gone, it’s gone
forever.”
We kill time. We waste time. We save time. We rob and get robbed of time, lose time, and think that we have all the time in the world. But none of us is powerful enough to stop the march of time, slow it down, or even know when our time on earth will be up. It happened in my community a few days ago when the King couldn’t save his son’s life. Nobody is in control of his or her life and time as nature is.
Time wasted and the time mismanaged or misused is irreversible. How often do you understand that you could use your time better and regret not spending it wisely? How often do you dream of how good it would be to correctly amend things you did or didn’t do long ago?
The older you get, the longer and thicker the shadows of the past become. But what’s important here is not holding on to them. You cannot turn the clock back, but you can do your best today to make tomorrow a happier time.
You can start amending your wrongs and excesses and doing the right things at the right time today. When your time is up, no money or power can bring you back to life to do the things you ought to have done when you had the time to do them well. Fight to correct every false misconception and all the false accusations against you today! Do not waste anymore time on this nonsense.
Many have asked me how I “made it” and “got so far so early in life.” I cannot help but laugh whenever I hear that question. It was never easy for me to “make it,” as many think, but I started very early in life, and I have never rested on my oars or relented in my pursuits.
I started writing and producing for major TV and radio stations and productions in Lagos, Nigeria when I was just about 15 years old. I’ve spent all these years building myself in many other areas of life and businesses. Everybody cannot be like me in that regard, though.
Even if you haven’t started as early as I did, don’t wait until it is too late before you start trying to make the amendments and adjustments you need today.
Money and power become useless when our time is up, so redeem your time well now!
