Life happens to everyone. We pass through many challenges and sometimes they begin to have a toll on our confidence. We see ourselves asking questions like;
Can we really succeed at doing this?
What would people say if I fail again?
Does this dress really fit well?
My dear Mgbeke, self-doubt is what brings fear and FEAR limits our capacity to take risks that may have been profitable to our very existence. Are you already in that situation where you see yourself as worthless? Here are 4 reasons that should make you think twice about doubting yourself again
- Doubt is a medium your mind uses to draw lines on what you can achieve. Without it, the future is truly a boundless space for you to explore.
- Those who surrender to doubts, make way for those who keep on pushing to do the unthinkable. So it’s either you remain a coward and live in pain all your life or you stand up and face your Goliath.
- Anyone who tells you that it’s impossible for you to achieve your dream has once succumbed to his own doubt of achieving that dream.. In most cases it’s not that the dreams cannot be achieved but maybe the process the person took was inefficient and hence it led to failure.. Your case may be different because you are going to use a different approach.
- Lastly doubt is the parent of fear and worry. Be rest assured that once you begin to tow this path, you are bound to also witness fear, and worry. And that can never take you anywhere.
Self-doubt brings fear, such as the fear of failure, of the dark, of being out of control, of not being good enough. We fear loving because we doubt our ability to love and so fear rejection; we fear being generous because we doubt our capacity to generate more and fear we will not have enough. We fear sharing our thoughts or feelings for doubt that we will appear wrong or stupid. Doubt brings mistrust, which appears real, even though it may have no real substance. It arises when the ego is threatened or undermined. Such doubt creates worry, nervous disorders and even paranoia. It is the enemy of real happiness.
And if you’re feeling up to it, we would love to hear from YOU before you go…
Which point mentioned above resonates with you the most today, and why?
