It’s good to have dreams. It’s important to pray, have wishful thinking, assertions, but they are insufficient to alter one’s destiny and status in life without devising workable strategies and tactics to actualizing them. Only those that toll this path are guaranteed remarkable success and immune from disappointment and huge failures. It’s important to envision your ideas, dreams, goals, and desires, write them down, and start working on achieving them.
How we spend our time, energy, resources, talent and who we spend them with affect our lives and what we become. Like Mahatma Gandhi said: ” the future depends on what you do today.” And I would like to add that, the future depends on what you do today, how you do it, and who you spend your time with. My dear, you can’t be found sitting around with people who don’t have dreams, visions or ideas daily and expect to do better. George Lorimer said: ” you’ve got to get up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.”
A lot of people want to be rich, they want to be successful in life but they lack direction and vision. Some are very lazy and lack of action to make the best use of your time, energy, potential can keep you down forever. Lazy people who lack direction and vision live their lives in the realm of wishful thinking. Like Joel Barker said: ” vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world. ”
My late father always told me to fuel my purpose in life by having a direction, action plan, timeline to achieve each set goals and be very prepared to encounter the challenges that come with walking the path of greatness without having any thoughts or reasons to give up on my dreams or ideas. One of my favorite authors, Roy T. Bennett said: ” Create a vision for the life you really want and then work relentlessly towards making it a reality. ”
You are born with great potential, your potential is endless. Set your eyes on your set goals, and have a direction to consciously, intentionally, intelligently, consistently, and purposefully work on making your dreams a reality. Helen Keller said, ” the most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight but no vision”.
Remember that your potential is endless and when you set your eyes on your goals, have a direction, you will get to your expected destination.
It’s very important to set your eyes on your goals, and know that your potential is endless if you don’t welcome distractions, bow to obstacles, or even pay attention to the things that do not matter. Often the obstacles in our path can be temporary, momentary glitches. Other times they are more complex and formidable and can threaten to delay us indefinitely. But when we do not give up on our dreams, when we have a direction, a clear vision of our mission and put in all the necessary actions required to become successful, we end up feeling fulfilled in life.
We have to be able to objectively assess the roadblocks and step away from our emotions in order to identify a new route and keep moving forward. We must always, at all times, always move forward, even if it’s at a snail’s pace. It’s a lot easier said than done, but doable and very realistic.
