Sad Realities As Senator Ekweremadu’s Daughter, Sonia, Makes Online Appeal For Kidney Donor – Reveals Shocking News About Her Father In Detention, Too!

The daughter of embattled former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, Sonia Ekweremadu, recently took to social media to appeal to the general public for a kidney donor to save her ailing life and to also make a shocking revelation about her father. The latter remains in custody in the UK.

A graduate of Media and Communications from the University of Coventry, UK, Sonia, 25, suffers from a rare kidney disorder and disclosed that her postgraduate studies had been put on hold since her diagnosis.

The daughter of embattled former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, Sonia Ekweremadu, recently took to social media to appeal for a kidney donor and to also make a shocking revelation about her father.

Titled “Appeal for Kidney Donation by Sonia Ekweremadu,” her strong appeal reads: “I, Sonia Ekweremadu, hereby appeal to the general public to come to my aid and save my life. I was diagnosed with rare kidney disease, FSGS Nephrotic Syndrome.

My family has battled to save my life and has taken me to various hospitals, but the illness persisted and kept degenerating. I am alive today by the special grace of God. I am presently in London, UK, receiving five hours of dialysis 3-4 times a week. This is at the expense of my family as I am not qualified for the NHS due to my immigration status.

The last three years have been extremely challenging. The charges being faced by my parents in London presently are directly connected to my illness and have complicated matters for my family and me.

Senator Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, were arrested by the Specialist Crime Team of the Metropolitan Police at the Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom, on alleged child trafficking and organ harvesting charges in June 2022.

I do not intend to delve into details of this unfortunate development as the matter is still in court. I am, however, optimistic that the truth will prevail and it will end in praise to God. In the circumstance above, I am appealing to anybody whom it may please to assist me willingly with a kidney donation in the name of God.”

Sonia further revealed that a comprehensive medical examination had revealed that her case of nephrotic syndrome was a genetic illness. Hence, the doctors advised against donation from any of her family members because it would likely reoccur.

She further revealed that during the time that her father, Senator Ekweremadu, has been remanded in prison, he has also been diagnosed with acute kidney damage.

“Anybody that is moved by this appeal and wishes to donate their kidney to me may send an email to helpsonialive@gmail.com and include their name, phone number, email address, and place of residence.

Sonia is pleading for a kidney donor and also trying to look out for her father, the senator, who is reportedly now down with the same ailment, too.

Please, note that under the laws of England and Wales, organ donation must be purely driven by compassion, and therefore no reward is involved.

Finally, I have decided to commit and dedicate myself to helping people with the challenges of kidney disease upon my full recovery. Thank you, and God bless you,” Sonia concluded.

Recall that Senator Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, were arrested by the Specialist Crime Team of the Metropolitan Police at the Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom, on alleged child trafficking and organ harvesting charges in June 2022.

They were both arraigned before a UK Magistrate’s Court for trial after their arrest. Beatrice Ekweremadu was eventually granted bail on June 26, 2022, but her husband was denied the same by a criminal court in London, and he has since been remanded.

An unfortunate reality from the story of the Ekweremadus is that there is nobody in existence that God cannot humble and bring low if and when HE wants to!

Sonia is now, sadly, pleading for a kidney donor and also trying to look out for her father, the senator, who is reportedly now down with the same ailment, too. How are the mighty indeed fallen!

Senator Ekweremadu’s next hearing date is scheduled for October 31, 2022, and, for the UK government to have begun investigations and refused to grant the senator bail, we believe that there is yet more to this case than has been revealed.
