Recall in June 2019 the seasoned Entrepreneur Mrs Uloma Rochas Nwosu, the first daughter of Okorocha Rochas, the former governor of Imo State, dragged the Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha, the immediate past governor of Imo State, the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu LADODO and four others before a Federal High Court over the invasion of her shopping complex, the House of Freeda Limited, by members of the Committee on Recovery of Government Property.

Also, respondents in the Suit No FHC/OW /CS/92/2019 are the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ndukwe Nnawuchi, Chairman of the Committee, Jasper Ndubuaku, Kenneth Anaeme, and Christian Obiano.

The suit also sought the award of “N5 bn as exemplary damages against the respondents for forcibly invading the premises of the first applicant known as and called House of Freeda.”

According to intelligent reports, it seems Justice has finally been served as a court in Imo state has ordered the Imo State government to pay the sum of 260M naira to Mrs. Uloma Rochas Nwosu.

A private legal practitioner in Imo State has also reacted to the situation and has this to say;

“So she wants this judgement to be obeyed and enforced when her father never obeyed any of such judgements? I never knew the Okorocha family still have regard for the court when the anarchist then Imo Gov slashed salaries of magistrates, owed judges and withheld 3 months salaries of judiciary workers for 8 years. No problem. We shall enforce all judgments but we shall first start from the very many gotten against Okorocha as a gov before coming to this one.” – Emperoriwuala Nnabuihe

The question now is would the state government obey the court order? Also recall that her father who was once a Governor violated many court orders during his own tenure.

What’s your take on the situation?
