Senator Akpabio has seen it all, heard it all, and felt it all. He has made a deeply personal decision, rooted in his spiritual beliefs and faith, to forgive his accusers, free his heart from bitterness, and move on with his life doing what he knows best, living boldly, standing firm, and refusing to be broken. His laughter is not denial. It is defiance. It is a declaration that neither falsehood nor the devil gets the final word.
Let us be honest my people, do tears, pain, laughter, or forgiveness erase what he has been put through? Of course not. Do they undo the damage, the public humiliation, the emotional toll, and the deliberate attempts to destroy a man’s name? Absolutely not. What they do is lift the burden from his soul. What they do is surrender vengeance to God and consequences to the law of nature, where every seed eventually meets its harvest.
Will he continue to be insulted, attacked, hated, misunderstood, loved, and respected all at once? Yes. That is the price of power, visibility, and influence. Is he guilty or innocent in the eyes of the law? That is for the law to determine. But in the eyes of discerning minds, people of wisdom, conscience, and critical thinking, one truth stands out clearly. There has been no credible evidence presented to support the claim that he sexually harassed Natasha Akpoti on his birthday, at his residence, in front of people, or at any other event. To date, what has been amplified is noise, emotion, propaganda, and media spectacle, not proof.
Did he harvest Miss Umoren’s organs? Of course not. Human organs are not harvested, preserved, packaged, and shipped like food items or parcels for international delivery. That narrative insults intelligence, science, and basic human reasoning. What we witnessed instead was the weaponization of media, emotion, and gender to malign Godswill Obot Akpabio.
History teaches us a hard lesson. When laws are twisted to favor some today, they often boomerang against the enablers tomorrow. Justice does not forget. Truth does not expire. And manipulation always collapses under the weight of time.
Stop politicizing legal issues in Nigeria. The law must remain sacred, evidence driven, and free from emotional blackmail and propaganda.
