There is only now. And look! How rich we are in it. Accept the moment.
Many of us wake up daily and feeling like our world is crumbling and we start to feel low spirited, frustrated, disorganized and very sad.
Some days, you feel down, distressed: anxiety, anxious, overwhelmed, irritated, upset, wishing things were different, comparism, worry, wishing other people would be different, feeling snubbed, hated, seclusion, fear of failure, not wanting to do something, angry at being controlled, wanting to find the perfect someone, trying to get yourself back on track, stressed about relationships and investments, not knowing how to fix some things, uncertain about choices, not wanting to think about problems, rushing from one task to the next and not liking your career, your job or even your workplace.
These problems are self-made. Yes, they are.
Actually, they are existent but our complicated minds have formed them. The difficulties are in our heads which are aroused by some prospects of how we wanted the world to be, or expect it will be but panicked by the fact that it won’t be. It exists in our mind.
For a moment, clear your mind and let go of the things bothering you and concentrate on the physical things around you. Yes, concentrate on the moment. See this moment as it is, without all the things you’re worried about. Let go of all the things and people bothering you, and just grasp this moment.
It is flawless, as it is. The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it. Most times your success lies in the midst of your challenges. Accept this moment. Treasure it because it is real and wonderful.
Don’t look for peace. Don’t look for any other state than the one you are in right now; otherwise, you will set up inner conflict and unconscious resistance. Forgive yourself for not being at peace. The moment you completely accept your non-peace, your non-peace becomes transmuted into peace.
Anything you accept fully will get you there, will take you into peace and make you treasure the moment. This is the miracle of surrender and acceptance.
The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it, and when you see it, embrace it, learn from it and treasure the moment.
If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath, treasure it and make the best of it.
