Prof. Mgbeke’s Sunday Sermon: Are You A Life-Saver Wife Or A Life-Ender Woman?
God’s goodness and graciousness abound forever, and we are yet again alive this day to bear witness to HIS amazing love that forever abides with us all.
If this is not enough reason to be joyful and thankful right now, there may never be. God is more than enough for all and in all things, hallelujah!
I have a short message to share with us today, and it’s more for our women and these lovely ladies out there still trusting God for their own Adam.
Many women are quick to say that they want a “God-fearing man,” but, as the saying goes these days, are you sure that even God HIMSELF is not fearing you?! Are you a life-saver or a life-ender wife | woman?
Proverbs 31:10-12 : “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.”
And then, this scripture elaborates on the numerous blessings and benefits that a man and a family get from having a virtuous woman as a wife and mother. Now, I ask again, my dear sisters, which category do you belong to?
In case you’re wondering what makes a woman a life-saver and another a life-ender, here are two practical examples via these questions that paints the perfect picture of who a life-ender wife | woman is:
(1) Are you the type of wife with no landed property but carries expensive human hair on her head?
You know the names of all these vain weaves and wigs many females splurge and indulge in these days, so there’s no need for me to start spelling them out again.
While there is nothing bad in looking good and spoiling yourself when you can afford to, it is sacrilegious to live such a life without any tangible investments that you and your family can build upon or fall back on in troubled seasons.
Oh, and there will be troubled seasons, believe me! This new age “for better, for best” remix of the old sacred marriage vows floating around these days is a lie from the pit of hell!
Are you already carrying the piece of land and even some of the buildings that you and your family are supposed to own already and be developing around on your head in the name of “trendy lady”? My sister, be your judge here…
(2) How do you help your husband and family financially?
Another part of this scripture in Proverbs 31 says: “She seeketh woo, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.” – Verses 13 to 16.
A virtuous woman is self-dependent and very resourceful, and all she does in business is for the sake and upkeep of her home and family.
How do you help your husband and family financially, or you’re only bothered about spending all he makes alone on slaying and looking good? Please know that you are created for more than this, and you are better than that kind of lifestyle, my dear sister!
No matter how wealthy your man is and how well he provides for you, no man would ever say no to coming home many times and seeing that his queen has taken care of some basic things and bills in the house.
It will significantly boost your value and love in his heart and make you irresistible to him always.
The Word of God is here and always available to lead and guide us into all truth and also help make our lives envy of all who see us. The question is…would you submit to, believe totally, and follow it without doubting or questioning it?
May God grant us all the grace to obey at all times and the willingness to submit to HIS way no matter how hard or impossible it may seem; in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
