TGIF TIPS MAY 6, 2022: How To Make It Back Home After Hanging Out On A Rainy Night
Hello again, my Mgbekenized darlings. It’s great to see another Friday together and in good health too. I hope your week has been fabulous, though?
Even though there was a long weekend with the Eid El’ Fitr holidays extending into the week in many parts of the world, I know that many people will still turn out to party tonight. It’s all good.
The rains seem to be coming down in torrents all over Nigeria and West Africa, so there will be a need for extra caution as you go out tonight.
As is our custom here, though, we would like to urge you to stay safe always, no matter what your plans are or where you are planning to visit.
So, to help you with this, here are two ways to make it back home in one piece after hanging out with friends and colleagues on a rainy or snowy night (as the case may be):
(1) Install New Tires On Your Whip: If you have been driving your car around with tires older than 5 years and above the 50,000 mileage point, now may be the best time for you to consider swapping those tires for new ones.
New tires have a much better grip on the road due to the unique threading on them, and this grip could be the difference between death and life for many people as they drive on very wet roads and surfaces.
Before you go out tonight in these present weather conditions, please ensure that you are not driving around with tires so old that they look like rubber balloons because they’ve lost all their threading.
You may have been getting away with such atrociousness on dry roads, but please do not take that risk on wet roads, especially after a drink or two!
(2) Make Alternative Transportation Plans: This other tip is pretty straight and simple. If you must go out tonight and you’re not sure about driving back in a blizzard, please use your ride-sharing options.
This is a much safer option for you and your friends, and it also means that you can get to drink as much as you want to on the night. A win-win situation for you anytime, right?
There is no point in trying to save money or prove macho by driving at night in the rain when you know that your vision is impaired or not that great in the dark.
The most important thing is your safety, as there is absolutely nothing wrong with stepping out to relax and unwind after a stressful workweek. You must be and stay safe while at it, though.
Lastly, do not forget to turn yourself over to God and ask for HIS protection over you and yours before you step out from wherever you’re moving from tonight.
This is even more vital than any tip we can ever offer you, and you should be mindful of it constantly. Do have a great time out today, and remain blessed.
