Happy Mother’s Day – 2 Reasons Why Mothers Should Be Celebrated Everyday!
Before our Odogwus go: “Another day for the woman?” – Yes, it’s another one, and this is one day that I’m sure even a more significant percentage of men cannot but agree to its significance.
All over the world today, May 7, it is Mother’s Day, and of all the days given to the celebration of women, this one is genuinely extra special!
And, just in case you’re one of those men still wondering why; here are 2 reasons why we believe that mothers should be celebrated every single day of the year:
(1) Sacrifice: There is no more tremendous sacrifice than what a mother makes for her children, and no one could ever over-emphasize this point!
A mother gives up everything for her child, and even after that child is matured and all grown, she never stops nurturing that which suckled and was weaned on her bosom.
There are a few exceptions that some could point to about this kind of love and sacrifice, but we have the perfect answer today: Every female can qualify to be called a woman, but not every woman has what it takes to be called a mother!
Ponder on that a little bit, especially our single Odogwus that are still searching for that special Asa mma.
(2) Undying Devotion: A mother never gives up on her child and would stand by them even when all indications point against it.
A mother is always the last to let go when it comes to redeeming an erring or wayward child. Maybe it’s the bond shared from the umbilical connection, or it’s just an ordinance of nature; we know that a mother’s undying devotion is unparalleled, and we salute it from the bottom of our hearts.
So, there you have it – another special day for these incredible creations of God called Mothers.
Here is our prayer at Mgbeke Media for every mother out there today: May your joy not be cut short and destroyed on the day of your celebration…May peace, happiness, excellent health, gladness, and fruitfulness be the crown of your old age, and may you enjoy a long life to reap the fruits of your tireless labor, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Happy Mother’s Day to every mother in the world today!
Prof. Mgbeke loves ❤️ you.
