A Good Woman Is A Priceless Treasure – Value Her Or Lose Her!
Greetings and God’s blessings to you all. It is an indescribable privilege and feeling to be amongst the living again today, and all the thanks and praises be to HIM alone, who has kept us.
My message today is a subtle yet firm reminder to all our married Odogwus who may be forgetting or have even totally forgotten the weight of the vow they made before God and man on the day they took the women they now have as wives. It is also a caution to the single ones, too, so that none may walk in avoidable error and sin against God, either deliberately or ignorantly.
Now, let me begin by first asking this question: Do you know and believe that a good woman is from the Lord, hence such a precious gift should never be treated with contempt?
“House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: And a prudent wife is from the LORD.” – Proverbs 19:14. A prudent and good woman|wife can only be gotten from God, even more so in these last evil days we live in! Now, having established this, I want every man here today to know, note, and always remember these words:
A good woman is a treasure in your life that you must place optimum value on and have the utmost regard for. If for any reason, she doesn’t feel valued and treasured by you, she’s going to find that value somewhere else.
Now, to create a much-needed balance – this is not, by any means, me trying to encourage women to be unfaithful to their spouses or to walk in immorality and infidelity. Far from it! However, it is an admonition that every good man should not ignore.
Every woman deserves a great level of attention, care, love, affection, nurturing, doting, and companionship from the man she chooses to be with and calls her man for the rest of her life. Don’t ever put your woman in a terrible position where she will be married yet single. It is the height of cruelty and a travesty against the Lord’s commandments regarding marriage!
Remember HIS Word? “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” – Genesis 2:24. “One flesh” means that there is and should never be any form of disparity between you and her, and your bond of unity must also be so strong that nothing can ever come between both of you.
So, if there is ever any area if your union, relationship, and marriage where your wife either feels or, worse still, is all by herself, then that woman is a “single wife,” and you are nothing but a disgraceful element and a sorry excuse for a man!
Oh, and if you think my words are harsh, try those of the Apostle Paul: “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” – 1 Timothy 5:8.
It is even worse for those men who have children by their wives but then abandon the women alone to take care of and raise those children all by themselves! I shudder to even think of what kind of punishment awaits every man who does this, but it is never too late to repent, though.
Let me leave you with these few questions today, and I trust that God will touch your hearts as you read and digest them…
When was the last time you held your wife in a warm hug, looked into her eyes, and told her, “I love you” in your home? When was the last time you took her on a romantic date or even planned a surprise weekend getaway for you and her without the children? When last did you send her flowers randomly – not when you’re trying to apologize for being caught with some side chick? When last did you genuinely pay attention to that beautiful woman in your home that you call your wife?
Remember, the treasure you have today and do not value will become easy prey and an easy target for the enemy whose only plan is to destroy your home and happiness! Why should you lose such a glorious blessing the Lord has given you in that amazingly virtuous woman HE gave to you?
I pray that the Lord will touch every man’s heart who is reading this today and living in this kind of error, and may HE cause light to shine upon their hearts so that they may realize their folly and make amends swiftly before they lose their homes completely, in the name of Jesus Christ; Amen!
